Glenn Paulsen is an accomplished attorney with over five decades of experience specializing in regulatory and governmental affairs, administrative law, public policy, and civil litigation. His distinguished career encompasses both high-level public service and extensive private practice expertise.
Mr. Paulsen has held several key leadership positions in New Jersey state government, including Director of Workers’ Compensation and Assistant Commissioner for the New Jersey Department of Labor, as well as Director of Motor Vehicles for the State of New Jersey under Governor Thomas H. Kean. He later served as Commissioner and Vice Chairman of the Delaware River Port Authority under Governor Christine Todd Whitman, a bi-state agency overseeing critical transportation infrastructure between New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Additionally, he served as Counsel to the New Jersey Senate, providing legal guidance on legislative matters.
His regulatory and administrative law practice encompasses a broad range of issues affecting both public and private sector clients, with particular strength in navigating complex governmental processes and compliance matters. Mr. Paulsen brings exceptional depth of experience in workers’ compensation law, having successfully defended more than one thousand formal matters on behalf of governmental entities, insurance carriers, and self-insured organizations throughout his career.
Admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1973, Mr. Paulsen earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1972, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif, a prestigious honor society recognizing academic excellence in legal studies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from the University of Delaware.
